When selecting an Ingersoll Rand IR air compressor solenoid valve, the key factors are the pipeline parameters, specifically the diameter specification (DN) and interface mode. Here’s how you should approach it:

1. To determine the DN size, consider the pipe’s inner diameter or the flow requirements at the installation site. This will help you choose a valve that matches the system’s needs.
2. As for the interface mode, if the DN is greater than 50, a flange interface is typically recommended. However, for DN 50 and below, you have the flexibility to choose based on your specific requirements and preferences.

When the coil is energized or de-energized, the operation of the magnetic core will cause the fluid to pass through the valve body or be cut off to achieve the purpose of changing the direction of the fluid. The electromagnetic components of the Ingersoll Rand solenoid valve are composed of a fixed iron core, moving iron core, coil, and other parts; the valve body part is composed of the spool valve core, spool valve sleeve, spring base, and so on. The solenoid coil is directly installed on the valve body, and the valve body is enclosed in a sealed tube, forming a simple and compact combination. Constructed with a valve body, valve cover, electromagnetic component, spring, and a sealing mechanism, it functions precisely. When the valve is de-energized, a spring-loaded sealing block at the bottom of the moving iron core seals off the valve body’s air inlet. However, upon energization, the electromagnet pulls the moving iron core, allowing the airflow to enter the membrane head through the intake port while a spring-loaded sealing block above the moving iron core closes the exhaust port. This ensures the membrane head is under control.

If the power is lost, the electromagnetic force fades, and the moving iron core, propelled by the spring, moves downward. This action opens the exhaust port, blocking the air intake, and allowing the airflow in the membrane head to exit through the exhaust port. As a result, the diaphragm returns to its original position.
